A bigger SKIwee Bowl teaching area is in place and it features two 70-foot carpet lifts, colorful teaching aides, permanent fencing and automated snowmaking. The Incubator Terrain Park offers beginner/novice rails, boxes and snow features. Tandem snow tubes have been added to the Pocono Plunge Snow Tubing Park. Debit cards, called the Gift Card System at Shawnee, will replace paper gift certificates and eliminate the need to carry cash. The prepaid debit cards will be accepted at all Shawnee Mountain points of sale, including ticketing, lessons, food and beverage stations and the Shawnee Ski Shop.
