Alm-Apparthotel Haflingertränke in Ellmau is offering a week's winter horse riding holiday for two priced at €790 per person.
The package is valid Jan. 3 to March 26 and includes seven nights with half-board in an apartment; six horse riding outings in a group with a riding instructor; a three-day ski pass for the Wilderkaiser-Brixental ski region; and one bottle of wine and a small welcome present.
Families can opt for the package and benefit from free accommodation for children under the age of 15 go free if staying in an apartment with their parents.
The four-star apartments are set at the foot of the Wilderkaiser mountain just above Ellmau. The property features onsite riding stables and a paddock so riders can get to know their horse before heading out. There is also a wellness centre with a sauna and steam bath where guests can unwind after a day's horse riding or skiing.
SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental operates Dec. 4 to April 3. It is Austria's largest interconnected ski area and includes 279 kilometres of piste, more than 180 kilometres with snowmaking equipment, 91 cable cars and lifts, and more than 70 huts and mountain restaurants.
Ellmau features plenty of non-skiing activities including horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowtubing, snowshoeing, and paragliding.
