The White Thrill race returns to St. Anton am Arlberg April 23. The event is the spring sporting highlight of the St. Anton am Arlberg ski area.
Hundreds of skiers, snowboarders, bigfooters, and telemarkers meet on the Valluga at 2650 metres for the mass start. Participants are racing for a piece of the prize money totalling €1900.
The White Thrill is the first stage of the alpine triathlon "Arlberg Eagle" which also features a half marathon in July and a mountain-bike marathon in August.
The race starts at 5 p.m. April 23 and there are 550 positions available. The participants will be divided into three groups with staggered start times.
The entrance fee for the White Thrill is €30 up until April 13 and €35 after April 14. The price includes the pasta party (from 1 p.m. in Galzigrestaurant). After the race, the award ceremony and White Thrill Party take place from 7 p.m.
The ski area of St. Anton am Arlberg offers access to 440 kilometres of slopes for all levels of ability connected by 85 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts. The resort is particularly popular with snowboarders for its funpark, compete with barriers, pro jumps, a washboard, a tabletop, slides, and a fun box.
