Women's Performance Camps at Loon Mountain are designed by women for women of intermediate to expert ability. The camps are focused, two-day sessions that help participants get to the next level of skiing.
The sessions include more than 15 hours of instruction by top women coaches, video analysis, targeted core conditioning to complement on-snow training, and an après ski get together. The camps will be run twice this winter: Jan. 29-30 and Feb. 26-27. Each two-day sessions costs $200, which includes two-day lift ticket.
Loon also is offering Bump Workshops 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, conditions and existence of bumps permitting. The workshops are intended to help skiers who are trying for a smooth run through moguls. Participants must be comfortable on blue terrain, and have lift ticket or pass. They cost $100.
Big Mountain Adventure Camps will be offered during vacation weeks for 12-to-17-year olds who are comfortable on black terrain. The one-day camps are available 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the week after Christmas; Jan. 15-16; and Feb. 19-27. The camps cost $130 per day and include coaching and lunch. Participants need a lift ticket or season pass.
Loon also is offering Burton Park and Progression camps 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. The camp is set up for snowboarders age 10 to 17 who can comfortably link turns on blue terrain. Each session costs $130 and includes coaching and lunch. Particpants will need a lift ticket or season pass.
