The season is up and running at Angel Fire Resort, and visitors who stay at resort properties for a couple of days and nights can save some money throughout the year.

The northern New Mexico all-season resort has put some cash into its facilities in the past couple of years, including a $16 million new country club and a facelift for the main lodge. It also maintains an inventory of condominium and other rental properties nearby.

Visitors can enjoy all the amenities during a minimum two-night stay at either the slopeside lodge, nearby condos or village rentals that gets four lift tickets included. The base price for this stay-and-ski package is $326 for two nights and four tickets during any Sunday-Thursday period during the year. The cost of lodging and lift passes for Fridays and Saturdays are higher, and blackouts apply for Martin Luther King Holiday weekend (Jan. 14-16), Presidents' Weekend (Feb. 18-20), and spring break (March 12-19). A regular all-day adult ticket runs $64 at Angel Fire, while teens pay $54 and pre-teens $44.

Condo-dwellers in Angel Fire Resort properties get 10 percent off the lodging price and two-day tickets for four people, with a minimum of two nights' stay. The condominiums come with full kitchens, parking and storage, fireplaces, trash removal, and full use of the Angel Fire Resort facilities. Information on the package deal can be found by calling (800) 633-7463.

The new country club, located a couple of miles from the ski hill, boasts meeting and event space, a fitness center with yoga room, private wine room with storage for over 2,200 bottles, the Stonewood restaurant, the Elements bar, and indoor swimming pool.
