Midwest college students that don't have to start classes until Jan. 10, and maybe looking for a good party on the slopes, should check out Devil's Head Resort in central Wisconsin.

The resort is hosting College Week, Jan. 3-9, and the College Olympics that weekend.

They bill it as the biggest College Party Package Weekend in the Heartland, and they may not be far off. The package, Jan. 7-8, starts from $119 per person, quad occupancy, and includes two nights lodging and lift tickets for the weekend.

All week long, Jan 3-9, students just have to show a current college ID to receive $10 off daily lift tickets.

Olympic events on the weekend include a giant slalom, waterbed bladder race, cardboard boxcar race, halfpipe contest, and the snow volleyball championship. Students can register and compete for their college with a grand prize going to the winning school.

Cosmic Railroad will be jamming Friday night in the Devil's Den and Saturday night in the Cliffhaus. It sounds like a party.

Devil's Head offers 28 impeccably groomed runs that boast a nice pitch and roll. Snowboarders enjoy four terrain parks, including an easy starter park. For those that like a little steep and some challenge, Devil's Alley and Outer Limits, cut through cliffs, provide good fall-line runs. Ten chairlifts and six surface tows keep skiers and riders moving up the hill with minimal wait time.
