Skiers who favour France's smaller, more intimate resorts can take advantage of several stay deals offered by Le Lac Blanc, in the Alsace region.

The short-stay offer Le Mois du Blanc gives guests a third night free when they book two nights and includes ski passes and gear hire. The deal is available for downhill or cross-country skiing. A three-day downhill stay starts at €130 per person and a three-day cross-country stay starts at €85 per person, with accommodation in a guest house. This offer is valid all season long.

Students can get half off the regular price of a weekend stay with their student card. This offer starts at €44 per person for a weekend of downhill skiing or €34 per person for a cross-country weekend. The offer includes accommodation and ski passes and is valid throughout the season, except for weekends during school holidays.

The resort also offers a four-day itinerant snowshoe trek starting at €320. Clients will hike five to six hours per day with a certified mountain guide over hilly terrain that is nevertheless suited for beginners. The price also includes half-board accommodation for each night, bagage transport between hotels, and snow-shoe hire. This activity is scheduled for Jan. 20-23, Feb. 3-6, Feb. 17-20, and March 3-6, 2011.
