The Holiday Ski Package, available Dec. 24-29, includes two nights' lodging, two breakfasts, two lunches, one dinner, lift tickets, and even a lesson. The first two people pay $389 each and each additional person over age six is $239 each. Six and under is free.
The New Year's Package, available Dec. 30-Jan. 1, includes two nights' lodging, breakfasts, lunches, one dinner, lift tickets for three days, and a lesson. The first two people pay $439 each and each additional person over age six is $239 each.
There will be live entertainment in the Three Gables Lounge over the New Year's Weekend. The Jimmy Buffet cover band, Pirates Over 40, will be appearing at the resort Jan. 8 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. It will be pina coladas, cheeseburgers in paradise, and snow on the slopes. You can just imagine sand between your toes.
The resort's 450-room hotel overlooks the Mississippi River and ski area. Chestnut has been named among the top 10 Midwest ski resorts on more than one occasion in national snow sports magazine reader polls. It's considered one of the top areas for Heartland twin-tippers and snowboarders with its 7-acre Farside Terrain Park and a huge rail garden positioned on top of the bluff near the hotel.
