It's not often that your lodging comes free anywhere in ski or snowboard country.
The Inn at Solitude has decided to break that mold by offering free nights' lodging when a visitor buys a consecutive day lift ticket at Solitude Mountain Resort.
Anyone who buys a multi-day pass gets to stay at the Inn at Solitude for free during the nights between each day on the slopes. For example, if a skier purchases a seven-day pass, he or she gets six nights' lodging at no cost. The rooms, which have a view of the village, are double occupancy and subject to availability. Regular rates begin at $209 a night.
The deal comes as the inn's management completed a major renovation of the Bavarian-style hotel, which sits in the village at the base of the Big Cottonwood Canyon mountain. Managers report that improvements to the 46-room facility included new carpeting and bedding, a private library bar and flat screen televisions for meeting rooms. The Spa at Solitude, located at the inn, also got an upgrade in décor and furnishings.
The Solitude deal is one of several dozen deals promoted by Ski Utah in its White Sale at many of the 14 resorts in the Beehive State. Information can be found at http://www.skiutah.com/whitesale.
