The 20 Dolomiti Superski snowparks will host a Drop-in Freestyle Day for teenagers twice a week starting in mid-January. Professionals will teach the best tricks, jumps, rides, and glides.
The aim of the Drop in Freestyle Day is to teach the freestyle techniques, safety rules, and how to respect nature. This will take place twice a week from mid-January: Wednesday for those on a week's holiday and Saturday for weekend skiers.
Ski and snowboard schools will run courses for children aged 12 to 18 on skis or snowboards. Specialist freestyle instructors will reveal the tricks of this new trade to groups of up to 10 children per instructor between 10 a.m and 4 p.m.
Freestylers will learn everything in a relaxed and safe manner, including how to master slopestyle, big air, halfpipes, stairs, walls, and rails. Get to grips with everything from simple tricks to the pro-actions, like "360", "720", "McTwist", and "Rodeo."
In the freestyler world, ‘drop in' means the first approach, but it is also shouted by a freestyler before they tackle an obstacle course in a snowpark.
A day's course costs €45 per person or €69 including freestyle equipment hire with twin tip skis or a snowboard from Salomon Sports.
