Bretton Woods, the ski resort portion of Omni Mountain Washington Resort, kicks off the 2010-11 season with another 30 acres of glade skiing on Mt. Stickney.

This new terrain is the first stage of a long-planned expansion of Mt. Stickney.

"The new glades offer a classic New England backcountry experience with a long traverse off the 'Two Miles Home ski trail," said Omni's Craig Clemmer.

"The glades access a variety of terrain riddled with secret powder stashes, sharp tree chutes and the classic manicured glade skiing for which Bretton Woods has long been renowned," Clemmer said.

The 30 new acres brings Bretton Woods to 464 skiable acres, with 102 trails and glades dressed, and more than 200 inches of average annual snowfall.

Bretton Woods also has the Nordic Center, with 100 kilometers of trails for XC and snowshoeing, and 11K of dog-friendly trails.

The Bretton Woods Canopy Tour runs year-round, with 10 zip lines through the trees, and a descent of more than 1,100 feet of vertical. Bretton Woods offers a Zip and Ski Ticket for a full day of skiing and a Canopy Tour. Cost: $129.

Bretton Woods also offers a Ski and Spa Special, with a half-day ski ticket and 50-minute spa treatment, for $129.

The resort also has a Zip and Spa Ticket for $140, which includes a Canopy Tour and 50-minute spa treatment.
