Blue Mountain, Ontario's largest ski resort, celebrates New Year's Eve, and the resort's Double Down Pass, which can save nearly $20 a lift ticket, is still available.

The resort is ringing in the New Year in with a family celebration and an upbeat New Year's Eve party for the adults. Party options and dinners can be added onto Blue's lodging packages, which include two and three night packages.  Follow the link listed below for lodging and party package options.

The family celebration, from 5:30-9 p.m. in the Village Conference Center, is $75 per adult and $50 per child (6-12). Children five and younger are free with a paid adult. The New Year's Eve party, from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. in the Blue Mountain Inn's ballroom, is $55 per person. Sonic Background will lay down some funky sounds for this upbeat party.

Horse and wagon rides will be available from 1-4 p.m. at the resort Dec. 31. Family fireworks take place over the Village Mill Pond at 9 p.m., and the main event fireworks will light up the slopes at midnight.

The Double Down Pass, which is good for two all day/night lift tickets, is still available, and at $99 per pass, still a good deal.  A regular day/night lift ticket is $68, and per person with the Double Down its $49.50. You can purchase only two of these passes per season, and it can be used anytime during the season; no restrictions.
