Registration is open for Autrans' Foulée Blanche, the legendary cross-country ski competition that unites professional skiers and enthusiastic amateurs.
This year the event celebrates its 33rd anniversary with a pure Scandinavian atmosphere and festive village throughout the site.
La Foulée Blanche runs Jan. 19-23. Each year, skiers from across the globe participate in the event, along with entire families who come to enjoy an athletic outing together.
With a choice of five-, 10-, 20-, or 42-kilometre circuits for freestyle and 10- or 25-kilometre circuit for classic style, everyone will be able to register for the race that corresponds to their physical condition.
The dates of the different races are as follows:
Jan. 19: Youth Foulée
Jan. 20: Children's Foulée
Jan. 22: Classic style Foulée and snow shoe trek
Jan. 23: Foulée Blanche (your choice of style)
This year, La Foulée Blanche is also a candidate for the Isère department's new eco-event label. This label helps the public identify environmentally friendly events. Thanks to many years of working to reduce the race's impact on the environment, event organisers hope to become the first eco-event of the department.
