Skiers and snowboarders can now get to Revelstoke Mountain Resort via shuttle from Kelowna, B.C. or Calgary, AB. The extended shuttle service, called the Revelstoke Connection, can save you the trouble of renting a car and driving unfamiliar mountain roads to get to the resort.

The shuttle starts up service Dec. 15, but sinks into its full schedule starting Dec. 26. Rates for children ages 6-11 run about half price, and kids younger than six years old travel free. Discounts are available for groups.

The Kelowna shuttle links the resort with Kelowna International Airport, about three hours away. Two shuttles run each way daily. The shuttle costs $85 CAN per person for one way.

The Calgary shuttle connects the resort with Calgary International Airport, located about six hours apart. The shuttle runs once each way Wednesdays and Saturdays with stops at Golden, Field, Lake Louise, Banff, and Canmore. This shuttle provides a way to link travelers aiming to hit multiple ski resorts in British Columbia and Alberta. Rates run $145 CAN per person for one way.

Both shuttle routes pick up and drop off riders at several hotels in Revelstoke, including Nelsen Lodge at the resort.

Shuttle reservations can be booked online or by phone, fax, or e-mail. Reservations are required, as a minimum of two people is needed for the shuttle to run. Revelstoke opened for the season Dec. 3.
