Scottish ski resorts are open skiing this weekend following the heavy snow dumps over the last few days. CairnGorm, Glenshee, and the Lecht are all open and reporting powder conditions.

CairnGorm now has 20 runs open, though only one is pisted from top to bottom. The M1 poma, the Ciste and the Ptarmigan T Bar, and the funicular are all running. Last season's winter ticket is still valid. For those without a season ticket, it will be full price this weekend: £30.80 adults; £22.50 seniors and students; and £18.50 juniors. The CairnGorm ski area is open 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. this weekend. The ski hire shop is open from 9 a.m. The weather forecast for this weekend is more snow as well as high winds, so wrap up warm!

The Lecht is reporting new snow on all runs, but so far only the Grouse and Robin runs are open (Buzzard and Eagle 1 are expected to open today).

Glenshee is also expected to open this weekend, just as soon as the snowploughs get there. The resort is reporting that it hopes to open the following runs: "Dink Dunk Poma", "Sunnyside Poma 1" and Sunnyside Poma 2".
