The Ski School at Blue Mountain in Palmerton, Pa., has a midweek women's workshop for skiers and riders of all levels.
Blue Mountain's Women's Workshop is designed by women, for women, and is taught by women.
The program runs six weeks and aims to work with women of all abilities to take them to the next level on the slopes.
Participants can sign up for morning, afternoon, or evening sessions. The morning workshop runs 10 a.m. to noon; afternoon runs 1 to 3 p.m.; evening runs 7 to 9 p.m.
Each session is two hours.
The workshop costs $175, and is for skiers and riders 21 and over. Lift tickets are not included, but are offered at a reduced price to workshop participants. Free babysitting is available.
Deadline for registration is Jan. 1.
Blue Mountain is located in Eastern Pennsylvania, one hour north of Philadelphia, with the greatest vertical in the state, 1,082 feet, 33 trails, three terrain parks and a 350-foot-long half-pipe, with all terrain lighted for night skiing. Trails are serviced by nine lifts including a hi-speed detachable six-seater and quad lifts. Hone your skills in one of our three Learning Centers, one serviced by a triple chair. Snow tube on 14 slides, with three levels, and three tow lifts.
