Wintersports U at Hidden Valley Four Seasons Resort in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania has come up with a two-day, eight-hour course to take women to the next level of skiing or snowboarding.
The Snow Angels ski weekend is Jan. 29-30.
It offers women 18 and older two days of ski and snowboarding instruction from the Wintersprots U staff.
The program splits eight hours of coaching between the two days. The Ski Angels program - designed for skiers and snowboarders of novice skill and above - runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an hour-long lunch break at noon.
The ski weekend offers a chance for some female bonding and a few fun days of learning and honing new skills on the slopes.
"This is a great opportunity to learn something new, build confidence and slide away from the winter blues," Wintersports U director Bob Kuban said about Snow Angels.
Price for the Snow Angels ski weekend is $150. That includes the eight hours of coaching, a ski ticket, lunch both days, a mixer with hors d'oeuvres, and additional perks. The package price does not include rentals.
Women who register together in groups of four or more will be eligible for the Girlfriend Package, which offers a discounted price for the program.
Deadline for registration is Jan. 17.
Wintersports U also has weekly clinics for women. Tuesday Ladies Day offers a 90-minute group lesson for female skiers and riders, beginning Jan. 18 and running each Tuesday through Feb. 15.
The lessons begin at 11 a.m. Cost is $55 for passholders, $125 for lesson and lift ticket, an d$190 for rental, lesson, and lift ticket.
