Windham Mountain Resort in the Catskills of New York State is changing things around to improve its food offerings, and to create a Nordic center for X-C and snowshoeing.
Windham has joined forces with Windham Country Club to operate its food service venues.
The resort also is creating a cross-country ski and snowshoe center and retail shop at the country club.
"This is another step in further developing Windham as an alpine resort destination for all seasons," said Tim Woods, Windham Mountain's president and general manager.
The renovated restaurant at the Country Club will reopen as Seasons.
Chef Kyle Armstrong is creating a new menu that will feature steaks, seafood, and American cuisine.
The new partnership affords the resort and the Country Club access to more space and opportunity for banquets and conferences.
The Country Club's golf fairways will host the trail network for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
The X-C center will have a retail shop with Nordic gear and snowshoe equipment.
Rentals and trail tickets will be available at the Pro Shop at Windham Country Club.
Windham has a summit elevation of 3,100 feet, a vertical drop of 1.600 feet, 46 trails, two high-speed quads, four triples, a double and three surface lifts.
