Mammoth Mountain, which has a lot of top-notch skiing and riding, will have some upscale digs to go with it when the Westin Monache Resort opens for business in November. The Monache, which is located adjacent to the Village Gondola, is a full-service, luxury hotel - the first of its kind in Mammoth – with 230 suites, including 110 of the deluxe kind, restaurants, bars, and 2,000 square feet of meeting space. Mammoth already was the resort with the highest elevation in California; it also now has one of the highest-standard condominium-hotels.
