When trekking across Park City's resort plaza this winter, you'll find it easier to avoid slipping on the ice. The plaza area is newly heated with new concrete flooring, thanks to one of many improvements done at the Utah resort, which is also celebrating its 45th anniversary. Another change is the landscape between Single Jack and Sunnyside. The diseased aspen trees are gone, leaving the pine trees. The area is more challenging, and now called Motherlode Meadows. The resort has also added a new run off of McConkey's lift. The new trail is named Georgeanna after an old mining claim in the area. New snow guns are being installed on the mountain. They will provide increased efficiency and output while utilizing less energy. Park City has a new innovative trail map that will debut this season. Plus, Fast Tracks will be installed at the King Con lift. The liftline shortcut is already available at PayDay, Eagle, Bonanza and Silverlodge lifts.
