Kids at Copper Mountain Resort are going to love the new Critterland and Alliroo Alley this year. Creatures have been created, such as Bearilla, Elkguin, Squeal, Ducktopus, Cheetapant, and the Alliroo. The new kid-friendly areas are at the bottom of the current tubing area in East Village, now known as Critterland.
David Roth with Copper says, "This area is going to be a great escape for the little kiddos out there. It will be cool because it is just for the kids."
You'll find the Ducktopus Tubing Carousel, the Critter Crooked House for the kids to hide, a Snow Day Snomobike, Squeal Hill which is a mini-tubing hill for those under 36 inches tall, and the Bearilla Den Play area, which features tunnels, ropes, and other play features.
The cost is $10 for a full-day ticket for kids 6 and under. It's open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Wednesdays. Parents must supervise and stay with their kids while in Critterland.
Alliroo Alley is under the American Flyer Chairlift (towers 25-29). It revives the Alligator Alley trail. Kids enjoy fun trails and look for safety conscious signs created by the new Copper Critters. Many Summit County elementary school kids created the signs.
Copper Mountain is now open for the season.
