Lutsen Mountains, in Minnesota's Arrowhead, plans to open for the season Saturday, Nov. 20, weather permitting.
The Heartland's largest snow sports resort is offering an Opening Weekend Lift & Lodging Package from $59 per person, based on quad occupancy. It includes two nights lodging Friday and Saturday nights and a two day lift ticket. A two night minimum stay is required.
There's still time, through Nov. 15, to purchase Early-Bird, Multi-Day lift tickets that are good throughout the regular season. They can only be purchased online by following the link below. A two-day adult lift ticket online is $98, which is a $20 savings over the ticket window rate. A three-day ticket is $137, a $40 savings, and a four-day ticket is $156, which saves $80. Children's lift tickets also represent similar savings. Early Bird lift tickets will no longer be available after the above date.
First Tracks 2for1 Lift Tickets that allow you to bring a friend for the day are also available online. They are valid through Dec. 12. A two-day adult lift ticket is $59, three-day $88.50, and a four-day lift ticket is $118. A child's lift ticket for the same time period is respectively $49, $73.50 and $98.
Lutsen guarantees they will have 25 runs open by the first weekend in December. You may cancel your reservation without any obligation if they don't meet the goal.
The resort is offering a North Shore Holiday lift and lodging package through early December, including Thanksgiving Weekend, from $109 per person, based on quad occupancy for a two night stay in a fireplace studio at Eagle Ridge. When it's fully open Lutsen Mountains has close to 100 runs that plunge off four mountain peaks. Arguably, it offers some of the best skiing and riding found around the Great Lakes Region. Overlooking Lake Superior's north shore, the scenery is spectacular.
