Skiers and riders across Southern New England look forward to the annual Boston Globe Ski & Snowboard Expo like little kids look to Christmas morning. This year's show has a new venue, the Seaport World Trade Center at 200 Seaport Blvd.

The new venue should be welcomed by expo visitors, as the trade center is an excellent facility, with great views of Boston, and lots of eateries nearby.

The show runs Nov. 11 to 14. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. Nov. 11; 3 to 10 p.m. Nov. 12; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 13; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 14.

Admission is $12 for adults, free for kids up to age 12. Download a $2 discount coupon from OnTheSnow.

The 29th annual Boston Globe Ski & Snowboard Expo is presented by Subaru of New England. It  features new retail partners since the demise of Ski Market. East Coast Alpine and Eastern Boarder will roll out a huge ski and snowboard sale. Resorts from near and far will offer pre-season savings on winter vacation packages, lift tickets, and season passes.

Highlights include appearances by extreme skier Glen Plake, and Olympic gold medal winners Hannah Kearney and Seth Wescott; a snow sports fashion show; Sky Riders aerial trampoline show; the Doug Lewis Fitness Challenge; and a Street Skate Contest. There are many more.

The show is here. Winter's not far behind.
