It's here.

The Ski & Snowboard Expo, presented by Alpin Haus, returns to New York State's Capital Region this weekend.

It's the show's 49th consecutive year.

The expo runs Nov. 5 to 7 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany.

The annual Capital Region kickoff to winter offers winter sports fans an early look at  the 2010-11 season, including the newest in winter sporting equipment, fashion and travel in one place.

The expo is one of the nation's longest-running consumer snow and travel shows.

Top mountains and resorts from across the Northeast, the West, and Canada will be represented.

The three-day event will feature free prizes, merchandise, and interactive, family friendly activities. The expo will also include its traditional array of auctions, previously used equipment sales, workshops, and seminars.

The expo runs 4 to 9 p.m. Friday Nov. 5; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday Nov. 6; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday Nov. 7. Admission at the door is $8 for adults and $4 for youth ages 7-12. Children age 6 and under are free with a paid adult.

Parking at the V-lot of the Empire State Plaza parking garage is $5 per vehicle. A photo ID is required for drivers and each adult passenger. All vehicles are subject to search.
