Parents who wonder how much their children learn during a group lesson may rest a bit easier if they put their loved ones into Park City's Signature 5 Program.

The ski school for ages six through 14 guarantees a maximum class size of five while accommodating abilities from rank novice to expert on both skis and snowboards. A day's lesson begins at 9 a.m. and runs to 3 p.m. A single price also covers a lift ticket and a lunch at one of Park City on-mountain restaurants.

Lessons focus on individual attention to accelerate learning and give youthful skiers and riders get a "well-balanced mountain education," according to the Park City Web site.

The cost of Signature 5 classes remains discounted until Dec. 10, with one day costing $163. During the holiday seasons of Dec. 18-Jan. 2 and Feb. 19-27, the cost rises to $230 a day. Regular season pricing sits at $215 per day. Reservations are encouraged.
