Several French resorts, that have earned the "La Belle Montagne" label, are offering freebies for children when their parents come to ski.

When a parent purchases a six-day lift pass, children under 10 get a six-day lift pass for free. The purchase of lift passes also gives families access to other discounts. If a parent hires their gear (boots plus skis) for the entire six days, the child can get their gear for free. The same goes for ski lessons. With the purchase of six days of adult group lessons, families can put their children in ski school for free.

To take advantage of these offers, it is necessary to download and print the coupons from the La Belle Montage Web site. Clients fill out the three forms-one for each service-and present them at the ticket counter when they buy the ski passes. The agent will then stamp the gear hire and the lessons coupons as proof of pass purchase, which will allow coupon holders to take advantage of the other deals.

Participating resorts include La Bresse Hohneck, Notre Dame de Bellecombe, Flumet, Praz sur Arly, Crest Voland, Cohennoz, Saint François Longchamp, Pralognan la Vanoise, and Orcières.

These offers are valid from Dec. 18-25 and from April 9 to the end of the season in each resort.

Parents should have proof of age for their children in order to benefit from these offers.
