Don't delay, if you're considering a season pass. Passes will go up respectively Nov. 2; adult $418, teen/child $270, and family of four $999.

New owners have made quite a few improvements over the last couple of seasons, including adding Blizzard Park, the Black Hills only tubing park, features seven lanes.  The park has its own lift.

They've been busy over the summer making a number of improvements, including a couple of new runs, all new trail signs, and a new mountain trail guide.  You should have no problem finding your favorite slopes this winter.  They also added new, more comfortable chairs on the triple chairlift.  Sit back and enjoy the ride.

There are also new ticketing counters, which will help speed up the process, and an all new ski school area.

Mystic Miner offers 44 trails and a little over 850 feet of vertical drop making it one of the Heartland's larger ski areas.  There's also approximately 10 miles of groomed cross-country trails that wind through the scenic South Dakota mountains.  They plan on opening the day after Thanksgiving.  The ski area will be open Thursday through Sunday the first three weeks of December, and then daily from Dec. 17 through Jan. 2 over the holidays.
