Les Grands Bains du Monêtier in Serre Chevalier reopens Dec. 3. The spa offers guests more than 4500 square meters of relaxation baths, massage areas, and more.
The centre is divided into three areas, each offering a different spa experience: the Grands Bains area, the Romano-Irish area, and the Health and Beauty Institute.
The main area, the 'Espace Grands Bains', includes an outdoor pool with several aquatic features like parabolic fountains, currents, and bubbling zones. The indoor pool has a jacuzzi, and underwater massage zone, and a micro-bubble zone. Both pools contain water that is naturally heated at 36° Celsius.
The Espace Grands Bains also follows the Roman bathing tradition with a frigidarium, tepidarium, and caldarium. A Turkish steam bath and musical grotto add to the experience.
The Romano-Irish area gives adults a chance to get away from the little ones and relax. Here, guests over 18 can take advantage of reserved saunas, pools, showers, a sun-deck and hot tub.
The Health and Beauty Institute proposes more classic spa treatments such as aromatic baths, essential oils massages, and body masks. The institute lets clients choose their treatments à la carte but it also offers several spa care packages.
Admission to the Espace Grands Bains costs €16-€21 for two or three hours per adult. The Romano-Irish area is accessible for an extra five euros. Prices for the Health and Beauty Institute depend on the treatments chosen, but the price includes entrance to the other two areas.
