Schladming kicks off the season Dec. 4 with an opening concert featuring Ke$ha and OneRepublic.
Ke$ha climbed the pop charts this year with her single 'Tik Tok',and held the number-one spot in the USA, England, Canada, Australia, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
The band OneRepublic recently opened for a U2 concert and is best known for their single 'Apologize' rising to the top of the charts in 16 countries.
The Planai Ski Area Director, Ernst Trummer, says, "We are very pleased that Ke$ha has decided to perform her first Austrian debut concert here with us in Schladming and OneRepublic flying here directly from the USA makes everything just perfect."
Tickets cost €45/ VIP tickets €109. Special packages are available including lodging and a ski pass through the Tourist Region Schladming-Dachstein.
Skiers to Schladming this year can benefit from new investment in the ski area, with a the eight-person gondola 'Preunegg' equipped with leather upholstery and heated seats, more than 2.3 kilometres of additional runs, and more snow canons.
Schladming boasts 223 kilometres of well groomed slopes linked by 109 modern cable cars and chairlifts. The resort also makes up part of the Schladming-Dachstein Region which is a member of the Ski amade. Skiers can access five ski regions with 860 kilometres of slopes using one pass.
