Racing for Health at Mt. Bachelor

Resorts in this article: Mt. Bachelor

The folks at Mt. Bachelor like to think of themselves as good neighbors, and on March 17 they are doing so by hosting a benefit for the Central Oregon Home Health Hospice based in nearby Bend. Of course, Mt. Bachelor is asking for a little help from its skiing and snowboarding friends to contribute to the cause. The Ski Out, as the promotion is dubbed, is a five-member team race which is formatted to reward consistency and not speed and is therefore suited to riders of all abilities. The $750 per team entry fee gets entrants lift tickets, race bibs, a relaxing hour or so at the spa at the Athletic Club of Bend and entree into the Paddy's Day-themed awards party at the Athletic Club of Bend (party tickets can be had for $35 a pop). Further information and registration forms can be obtained at www.cohhh.org.
