Soda Springs Mountain Resort has watched the popularity of their tubing hill grow to the point where it needed more lanes. The resort plans to double the lanes in Tube Town for this winter, plus add a tuber cross course to challenge those ready for a big thrill.

"The tubing hill is getting such a humungous facelift," General Manager Jody Churich told OnTheSnow. The tubing hill, which has had eight lanes in the past, is doubling in size. The resort hopes to put in 16 lanes this winter, increasing the downhill capacity. The 400-foot-long conveyor surface lift will be moved to the center of the lanes to allow for the easiest access to all lanes.

Those willing to hike a few steps above the conveyor lift can leap on the Super Tuber Cross. "We did a test Tuber Cross last year, and people loved it," said Churich. The Super Tuber Cross is longer and sports several whoop-de-do features with berms and rollers.

Access to Tube Town at Soda Springs is included in lift tickets. Adult tickets cost $35 while teen and kid tickets cost $25. Non-skiers of all ages can also buy a tubing-only ticket for $25.

Tube Town is designed for kids 42 inches and taller. Plan on hearing some serious screams on the Tube Town Super Tuber course this winter.
