Steamboat is offering a new option to spending  time on the slopes. The Pure Pass is good for 15 days of skiing and riding, unrestricted, with no blackout days (except for Scholarship Day presented by the local winter sports club Nov. 24). The cost of the 15-day Pure Pass is $909.

Another advantage comes if you use up your 15 days.  The cost is $39 for any add-on days. The easy part about it is that all you have to do is go directly to the lift line. Your credit card will automatically be charged for the extra day or days when your pass is scanned. You will have to give an initial credit card authorization form for this option. You can add on days in advance through the Web site, or purchase extra days at any ticket window.

Loryn Kasten with Steamboat says the Pure Pass is new this year, and they're looking forward to having a new option. "We're excited for guests to have the freedom to ski and ride the mountain at their leisure, and add on days for only $39."

The pass is non-transferable, as with all picture passes at all resorts. You can buy it any time this season.

Steamboat opens with Scholarship Day on Wednesday, Nov. 24. All money raised that day goes to the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. The regular season begins Thanksgiving Day.
