Saddleback Maine has an array of season passes for college students and military service personnel.
Saddleback's PEAK Pass for Maine and New England Honor Students is meant to encourage students to perform well in school, curb childhood obesity, and promote outdoor recreation and winter sports.
PEAK stands for Promoting Education and Activity for Kids. It started as a Maine-only program, but has expanded to include all New England honor students. Students in kindergarten through Grade 12 are eligible, based on their academic performance.
These passes can be purchased now, but proof of honor roll status for the first marking period, fall 2010, must be furnished before a pass can be picked up. If a student does not make the honor roll, the money paid for this pass can be applied to a Junior pass.
Maine honor students can purchase a Saddleback season pass for $59. Honor students from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont can buy a Saddleback season pass for $99.
Saddleback has a College Pass for college students, for $149.
The mountain has a Military Pass for servicemen and women costs $149. The Blue Star military season pass for veterans of combat in Iraq or Afghanistan is $25.
All season pass holders get 10 percent off food, non-alcoholic beverages, and ski shop items. Guests who buy a pass by Oct. 15 get a $25 debit card bonus.
