The France Nordique Pass has been introduced to give cross-country skiers access to all trails throughout the country.
This national pass offers keen cross-country skiers the freedom to explore more than 130 destinations throughout France. The only ski areas not included in the pass are those in the Hautes Pyrenees department.
An annual Nordique France pass costs €150 adults, €32 children aged 6-16.
Many French departments also offer their own annual cross-country ski passes, which are accepted at all of the cross-country destinations of each region. This could be a practical option for skiers who tend to holiday in the same area. For example, the Nordic Pass 74 allows cross-country skiers to enjoy all of the destinations in the Haute Savoie department for €79 per adult, €25 per child. It includes resorts such as Saint Jean de Sixt, Abondance, and La Clusaz.
The Pyrenees Catalanes Nordique Pass is priced at €102 for adults and gives access to cross-country destinations in the Pyrenees Orientales department. It includes the resorts of Font Romeu, Pyrennees 2000, and Formiguères, plus several others.
Many other French departments offer cross-country ski passes. Check with the departmental tourism board to learn what options are available.
