Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) has scheduled its season pass sale longer than most other Alberta ski areas. Skiers and snowboarders can snap up passes until Oct. 16 for Nakiska, Fernie Alpine Resort, and Kimberley Alpine Resort or a Super Pass that includes all three plus Lake Louise.

"Given the crazy time of the year and how busy people are during fall, we want to make it easy for them and give them longer time," Matt Mosteller, vice president of development told OnTheSnow.com. Extended office hours and additional days open allow for more opportunity to purchase passes.

Season passes are available for individual RCR resorts. Nakiska passes cost $539 CAN for adults and $179-429 CAN for children, youth, or students. Passes for Kimberly run $729 CAN for adults and $239-579 CAN for children, youth, or students. Fernie passes cost $979 CANfor adults and $319-779 CAN for children, youth, or students. Midweek passes run $779 CAN. Midweek passes are available at all three resorts, too.

RCR also offers passes that gain skiers and riders admittance to lifts at three or four ski areas. The RCR Rockies Pass, which is valid at Nakiska, Kimberley, and Fernie, costs $1,029 CAN for adults. The Super Pass, which is good for unlimited use at the three RCR resorts plus Lake Louise, costs $1,269 for adults. RCR Rockies Passes and Super Passes are available in midweek versions and for children, youth, students, and senior, too.

Families of four or more people may benefit from purchasing family passes, which are available at all three RCR resorts. Family passes cost $1,259 CAN for Nakiska, $1,699 CAN for Kimberley, and $2,279 CAN for Fernie. The RCR Rockies Family Pass costs $2,399 CAN while the Family Super Pass costs $2,959 CAN.

All RCR season passes can be purchased online. Passes may be picked up at any of the RCR resorts or at the corporate office in Calgary.
