In between bites be sure to check out the interpretive center, which is located in the bottom floor of the upper terminus of the Panorama gondola. The center is designed to educate visitors about the dynamic nature of the Eastern Sierra via interactive displays; guests will be presented information about the geology, hydrology and the volcanic history of Mammoth Mountain and the Long Valley Caldera.
