The Double Whammy season pass gives Tahoe area skiers access to two resorts --Sierra-at-Tahoe and Northstar-at-Tahoe. The pass comes with varied access options, but permits skiing and riding at both resorts so you can chase the powder or the sun from north to south across Lake Tahoe.

The Double Whammy Unlimited puts no restrictions on use. The adult pass costs $749 while young adults can get the pass for $429, and children can buy one for $109. Other rates are available for super seniors and adaptive.

The Double Whammy Limited pass allows lift access any day at Sierra, but restricts access at Northstar with 10 blackout dates. Adult passes cost $489 while young adult passes cost $289.

The Double Whammy Value pass includes restrictions at both resorts. It can be used to access Northstar's lifts on any days other than blackout holidays or Saturdays January through mid-March and Sierra's lifts any day excluding 10 blackout dates. The pass is only available for adults at $399.

College students can get a special Double Whammy pass with unlimited Sierra skiing and 10 blackout days at Northstar for $399.

Each of the resorts offers individual passes that are also on sale through Sept. 30 as well as the Vertical Plus Frequent Skier Program, which adds benefits including members only lift lines on to the season pass.

The sale on season passes runs through Sept. 30. Passes may be purchased online or by phone.
