What . . . Sheffield Ski Village is an artifical ski slope complex in the Parkwood Springs area of Sheffield. It is the largest artificial ski resort in Europe and offers a range of slopes and amenities.
There's a 350-metre snowflex blue run with t-bar and button tow; a 320-metre dendix red run with t-bar and button tow; a 220-metre freestyle arena with red run accessed by a t-bar and button lift; a 180-metre black run with t-bar and button lift; and a 150-metre nursery slope with 12 lanes and a rope tow lift.
The freestyle arena features a mogul fiend, half-pipe, and quarter-pipe. The centre is used as one of the main training grounds for the Yorkshire Freestyle Squad.
Private and group lessons suit all ages and abilities. Snowtubing is available for ages 4-11 and tobogganing for 5-13.
