The North American Ski Training Center is offering various week-long ski camps in Portillo from August 13 to 20.
The "Adventure Ski Training Vacation" costs $2595 and is aimed at intermediates, advanced, and expert skiers. It offers more than a ‘quick fix', instead it's about the whole picture: technique, fitness, and equipment. Lessons are carried out in small groups of six or less with the same Demo Team instructor all week. Backcountry tour options exist, as does group helicopter skiing.
The "Kids Race & Freeskiing Camp" costs $2595 and is a new specialised camp for kids. Kids will run gates in the morning and continue to develop their skills and tactics on the mountain with an all-mountain free-skiing session in the afternoons. They will have their own afternoon video session and tech talk. This is open to advanced and expert skiers aged 7 to 14.
The "Ski With The Superstars 2010" costs $2150 and offers the opportunity to ski with some of the world's most renowned freeskiers as your personal guides and coaches. The camp is open to any age and all participants should be expert skiers (able to ski all blacks) with a strong level of fitness. Skiers will spend the week mastering the steeps and deeps of the Chilean Andes with top freeskiing champions Chris Anthony, Ingrid Backstrom, Chris Davenport, Mike Douglas, and Wendy Fisher.
