Delta Airlines and Telluride Resort have announced a greatly expanded schedule for skiers and riders coming to the southwest Colorado destination from Atlanta, Ga. next winter. Flights will be offered on a 76-seat regional jet with 64 coach and 12 first class seats. The airline plans a special introductory airfare starting from as low as $139 each way to/from Atlanta plus applicable taxes and fees to celebrate the service expansion.
Flights will depart Atlanta at 9:35 a.m. and arrive at Montrose/Telluride at 11:33 a.m. It will depart back to Atlanta and 12:15 p.m., arriving at 5:30 p.m.
"We're pleased that Delta will be serving the Montrose/Telluride area on a daily basis this coming winter," said Dave Riley, CEO of Telluride Ski Resort. "Atlanta is the busiest airport in the world and with Delta being the dominant hub carrier at that airport, effective service from and through Atlanta provides better access for our skiing guests in the east, and particularly Atlanta the southeastern part of the United States."
