Backsliding At Mt. Rose

The folks at Mt. Rose are warming up the way-back machine to hurl the Nevada resort back to the days of big-hair bands, leg warmers, and Reaganomics. Yes, it's time for the annual Slide Back '80s Retro Ski Party Feb. 9. Dress in your best stretch ski pants or neon-colored one-piece, put on your rear-entry boots, and click into those lo-o-ong pencil skis for a day of frivolity and nostalgia at Rose. You also can win up to $500 worth of modern gear from the Village Ski Loft in the Fashion Contest at the "always chic" Slide Lodge at the bottom of East Bowl.
