A wide range of summer mountain adventures start weekends at Ski Roundtop May 29 with activities for children and adults. The full Mountain Adventure package includes OGO Ball rides, unlimited summer tubing, unlimited use of Tree House zip lines, Bumper Boats, scenic chairlift rides, and use of The Woods play area.
An OGO Ball is an inflatable ball with an 11-foot diameter. There is a six foot ball in the middle. A single rider or up to three riders climb in the middle ball and are suspended inside in harnesses for a ride down a tubing chute. One rider goes upside down if three ride together.
Riders must be six years old and older to participate and the maximum weight for one to three riders is 275 pounds.
The Tree House zip course is lower to the ground than the Vertical Trek zip course at Roundtop. Eight is the minimum age to participate.
Bumper Boats come equipped with water squirters. The electric floating devices actually look like large inner tubes with seats in the middle.
Summer tubing is similar to winter tubing except that the runs are covered with a synthetic that allows tubers to easily slide like they do on snow. A Magic Carpet transports tubers to the top of the runs.
The Mountain Adventure package starts at $29 for children five to 10 years of age. The package costs $39 for those 11 and older.
