The year-round ski resort of Zell am See-Kaprun is launching a new summer combination card, which covers all the most popular attractions in the region for free.
With a Zell am See-Kaprun Card visitors can enjoy free sporting and cultural activities, including unlimited use of all cable cars to Alpincenter at 2450 metres, buses, trains, swimming pools, entrance to the Wildlife Park Ferleiten.
Use of the Gletscherskilifts is not included in the card. Skiers should note that due to the rebuilding of the Gipfelstation at 3029 metres between April 12 and July 2, ascent is only possible to Alpincenter (2450m) during this time.
The Zell am See-Kaprun Card is free for guests of participating accommodation providers, including hotels, inns, guesthouses, apartments, and chalets.
The 3029-metre-high Kitzsteinhorn glacier is the only venue for summer skiing in the province of Salzburg. Skiers and snowboarders can sign up for summer lessons, available for both adults and children.
Cross-country skiing is also catered for on the Kitzsteinhorn with a marked trail of up to three kilometres at 2900 metres. The summit is dotted with Alpine restaurants for summer refreshments.
After skiing on the glacier, head to Lake Zell for swimming, water skiing, boat rentals, or beach volleyball.
