Arizona Snowbowl is ready to make improvements this summer. "Specific projects are still waiting for final approval from the Forest Service," explained Smith. "But we hope to get some big stuff done this summer."
Snowbowl's Scenic Skyride operates daily Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. After Labor Day, the Skyride operates Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through mid-October. Hiking in the San Francisco Peaks is available, too.
Sunrise Park opens Memorial Day Weekend for summer with a lodge, fishing lake, primitive camping, and horseback rides. Scenic lift rides and lift-accessed mountain biking are available Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day weekend. Sightseeing rides cost $10 for adults and $5 for juniors. All day mountain bike passes cost $20.
The resort has slated remodeling projects for the summer. Crews plan to upgrade the Apache Peak Daylodge and the 5,000-square-foot Sunrise Funland and Child Care Center.
