Val d'Isère is improving its mountain bike trails in time for summer, offering a variety of trails for varying levels and family outings.
Fun trails for learning mountain bike techniques run through the bike park, preparing bikers for the more steeper, more challenging trails.
The Vert piste, for beginners, winds through the park with wide curves and a gentle slope. The slalom piste attracts speed seekers, as it automatically times riders, displaying their descent time at the bottom of the track.
Freestylers will enjoy the jumps, boarder, and hoops. They can practice jumping safely thanks to the freestyle air bag for riders to land on.
The Lac d'Ouillette offers a calmer experience, better adapted to families. This 1.5-kilometre loop only has a 38-metre vertical drop and at 2500 metres in altitude, gives riders an exceptional view of the surrounding landscape. Along the way there are restaurants and public benches for breaks and picnics.
The Lac d'Ouillette loop is accessible by either the Solaise Express chair lift or the Col de l'Iséran road.
Val d'Isère is offering a mountain bike stay deal starting at €64 per person. The offer includes three nights' accommodation, three days of unlimited lift access, and a free map of the trails.
