The resorts of France's Savoie department are offering plenty of deals for skiers who want to take advantage of longer ski days at lower prices.
From free ski passes and accommodation to packages and family deals, these Alpine resorts propose a wide variety of ways for guests to save money.
Sainte Foy Tarentaise invites guests to enjoy the mountains for a week's stay anytime between April 13 and 27, and they'll receive a free week's stay in the summer. Prices start at €1000 for four people in a chalet apartment.
At many resorts, guests get a free child's pass with the purchase of each adult pass. Arêches-Beaufort, Crest Voland Cohennoz, La Clusaz, La Rosière, Peisey-Vallandry, Samoëns, and Valloire Galibier all have such programs. This offer is valid for ski passes of a minimum of five or six days, depending on the resort. The age at which one is considered a child also varies from resort to resort, so be sure to check ahead before booking.
Since week-long stays either begin or end on Saturday, there are usually fewer skiers on the pistes. To fill the gap, several resorts like Aussois, Bellevaux, Châtel, Flaine, Les Gets/Morzine, Praz de Lys/Sommand, and Val Cenis Vanoise, sell lift passes at special prices on Saturday or for Saturday and Sunday.
Praz de Lys, for example prices its Saturday pass at €17.50 instead of the regular €21 for a one-day pass. Châtel lets skiers hit the pistes for €24 on Saturday, down from the regular one day price of €32.
