Italy's Aosta Valley region is running a special April promotion with the chance to ski all resorts in the valley, including the leading centres of Cervinia and Courmayeur.

A range of deals are available for stays between April 12 and 30, including a three-night stay with breakfast starting from €300 per couple including two Aosta Valley ski passes, saving over €200.

Alternatively stay three nights on a bed and breakfast basis from €240 per couple, including access for two to the impressive Pré-Saint-Didier Thermal Baths, saving over €190.

The Aosta region is located in north western Italy and has ski lifts rising up to 3000 metres with a good snow record through to the end of April. The region includes summer skiing in Cervinia and more glacier skiing above Alagna in the Monterosa region. Ski areas are located within a two-hour drive of Turin (115km) and Geneva (140km) airports.

The Aosta Valley pass covers 800 kilometres (500 miles) of terrain served by nearly 200 lifts in over a dozen ski areas, which as well as Cervinia (linked over the Swiss border to Zermatt) and Courmayeur on the other side of Mont Blanc from Chamonix in France, include Pila and La Thuile (linked to La Rosiere in France).
