Loon Mtn., NH: Voted East's Best Terrain Park

The ratings were based primarily on readers' average ranking, number of reviews, and specific comments made in OnTheSnow.com over the winter season. "More and more skiers and snowboarders are relying on the word of their peers when they make resort choices," said Mountain News President and Publisher Rob Brown, whose company publishes OnTheSnow.com. "We believe the importance of reader advisories will continue to grow each year and these annual awards provide a peek into their thinking." The reviewers were clear in their comments about Loon that went beyond the park: "The parks are awesome, best parks I have ever skied. It was a blast… It is a great family-oriented ski resort with a lot of options: skiing, boarding, tubing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing… My daughter did not want to leave the ski school. We felt very welcome and comfortable leaving her with the instructors." Loon Mt. is a two-hour drive from Boston and offers a combination of convenience, scenery, and adventure. The mountain is big - 45 trails wind down 2,100 vertical feet, all spread over 275 acres. Ten lifts serve 45 trails. Bear Claw is 2.5 miles long. Snowboarders are welcome on all runs and in the terrain park. Click HERE to read the reviews.
