Schweitzer Mountain Resort rolled out spring passes good for the last month of skiing or riding. But the special spring passes come with an additional benefit.

The resort's Spring Fling season pass costs $99. It is valid for skiing or riding March 15 through April 11, weather permitting.

The $99 rate is less than the equivalent of two adult lift tickets, which makes the pass pay off in two days of skiing or riding. Adult lift tickets cost $59 per day at the ticket window, and the online price for a two-out-of-three -day adult lift ticket is $112.10, or $56.05 per day.

The non-refundable, non-transferable pass is valid for anyone 7 years or older; however, the pass only comes at the $99 rate. Juniors and college students pay off the pass in three days of skiing or riding.

The Spring Fling pass grants one benefit for those who are considering the purchase of a season pass for the 2010-11 season. The $99 pass can be applied as a credit toward next year's pass.

The spring passes can be ordered through Schweitzer's online store; however, online orders take 72 hours to process. The passes can be purchased in person without the wait at the season pass office.
