Late season hours are in effect at Cataloochee in North Carolina and season passes for 2010-11 are on sale now. The resort is open for twilight and night skiing and snowboarding from 1 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. Only daytime skiing and snowboarding is available Saturday and Sunday. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cataloochee is keeping the same season pass price points for next season, but rates are lowest now. The resort's midweek season pass is the best deal currently priced at $220 for individuals now through the end of March. The price jumps to $250 April 1 through August 31. There are holiday restrictions.

An Unlimited Season Pass for individuals costs $450 if purchased by the end of March. The next best time to purchase is April 1 through August for all types of season passes. The Family Unlimited Pass for two people is $775 now and $790 April to August.  Additional family member passes run $230 and $240.

The single person Limited Season Pass costs $390. It is valid Sunday to Friday. It does not apply between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The Family Limited Pass is $635 if purchased now. Additional Family Limited Passes are $200 now.  All prices go up Sept. 1, 2010.
